16Mo3 is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel celebrated for its impressive high-temperature strength and resistance to corrosion. Its typical chemical makeup includes about 0.12–0.20% carbon, 0.90–1.30% manganese, 0.25–0.35% molybdenum, along with trace amounts of phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon. In terms of mechanical properties, it boasts a tensile strength ranging from 440 to 590 MPa and a yield strength of around 220 MPa, with good elongation properties of 22% or more. These characteristics make 16Mo3 particularly suitable for environments that experience high temperatures and pressure.
