What is Carbon Steel EN-9 Bars?

The Carbon Steel EN-9 Bars are primarily made from medium carbon steel, containing about 0.35–0.45% carbon, along with small amounts of manganese (0.50–0.80%), silicon, and trace elements like sulfur and phosphorus. This specific blend gives the bars a great balance of hardness and ductility. In terms of mechanical properties, EN-9 bars boast a tensile strength between 600 to 800 MPa and a yield strength of around 400 to 600 MPa. They also offer good wear resistance and toughness, making them suitable for heat treatment processes such as quenching and tempering, which further enhance their mechanical performance.
